About The Farm: El Carrizal farm in Fraijanes, Guatemala
Carlos Durán Matias inherited the farm with his brothers and sisters, but he is the one who manages it. It is one of the oldest farms in this zone and started with a size of 20 manzanas (approx. 14 hectares) and has grown to the current size of 31 hectares.
It is characterized by its quality varieties such as Typica, Bourbon and Caturra, Carlos explains. There is a great diversity of production of the farm as he has fruit trees and trees he grows as wood production.
This coffee was processed in the wet mill that is part of the farm and all the coffee is sundried on patios.
